Integration for the Fujitsu fi-6000NS
The Integration for the Fujitsu fi-6000NS is a complete scanning hardware and software solution for importing documents directly into a destination OnBase system via the Internet. A self-contained scanning unit, the fi-6000NS has an onboard Windows operating system, liquid-crystal touch display and built-in keyboard, making it easy to operate while eliminating the need to dedicate a PC to act as a scanning station. The Integration for the Fujitsu fi-6000NS ships with preconfigured OnBase software and can be operated with virtually no training as soon as it is plugged into the network.
Ideal for capturing documents at remote sites, including business partner locations, the Integration for the Fujitsu fi-6000NS allows a user to insert as many as 50 pages in the automatic document feeder (ADF) and scan them directly to an OnBase destination as TIFF images. The scanner communicates with the destination OnBase System through the Application Server and receives information required for indexing.
Users can enter metadata through the touch screen, through the keyboard and/or through assisted indexing tools such as drop-down document type selection and AutoFill Keysets that automatically populate indexing values with data already existing in the system. This fully integrated solution assures that high quality images arrive at their destinations faster and with more accurate indexing because it is completed by the knowledge workers managing the business process.
Onboard image quality capabilities include automatic page orientation for documents with text, image adjustment, automatic color detection, image deskew, automatic paper size detection and blank page detection and removal. The large touch screen display allows users to verify image quality prior to sending, including the ability to zoom and pan. The fi-6000NS also supports hard and embossed card scanning as well as long document scanning.
Centrally administered, the scanners automatically receive
configuration and software updates, eliminating the need for onsite support.
